How similar to the bride’s wedding shoes should they be? You may think think that this is a very difficult thing to decide. If you are lost on the subject then don’t concern yourself too much, here’s a thought: allow your gown theme be your inspiration. Wedding shoes are very important and shouldn’t be overlooked.
Your wedding gown is unique. It won’t match what the bridesmaids are wearing. You are the center of attention on that special day and your gown reflects that. But bridesmaids dresses need not exactly match one another these days, either.
Your overall ‘look’ should be consistent. A good idea is to have the designs pretty much the same but with a few details here and there different. When it comes to these individual touches it could simply that different colored ribbons are used for each dress.
Why all the concentration on the dresses when we’re trying to select shoes? Well, it’s quite simply really.
For instance when deciding on the fabric of the shoes you don’t have to buy them to match the dresses completely. But they should not stick out either. Just a slight difference is fine.
When it comes to the material then satin works very well for shoes. Of course, when shopping for bridal shoes you may well only be able to find satin ones anyway. It may well be that you decide to go for satin shoes for the bride but crepe shoes for the bridesmaids.
What color of shoes to choose?.
Dyeable shoes are an option not only for the bridal shoes, but the bridesmaids’ shoes as well. Found just the design you like, but the color is wrong?
Let’s just say that you would like to have bridal shoes that are navy. This can look very striking under a white wedding gown. Now use the same color, but go a shade or two lighter for the bridesmaids’ shoes. The same, but different. The focus remains on you, but the bridesmaids are coordinated.
Now that you have decided what you are buying for bridal and bridesmaid shoes, remember that the groomsmen has to wear a pair of shoes too: Groomsmen Shoes
